SPEED LATHES - Model 30DC
The Crozier Model 30DC Speed Lathe is our most popular model. It has
many standard features not found on any other machine in its class or
price range.
Air-Collet Closure: The air-collet closure is designed and built
as an integral element of the speed lathe. Therefore, low speed
restriction or cylinder wobble is NOT inherent in Crozier speed lathes.
The foot switch operated air-collet also mitigates operator fatigue in
achieving collet closure. A foot valve operates the collet closure
leaving both hands free. The air-collet closure facilitates rapid
loading and unloading of the part. For thin wall parts, an air
regulator on the inlet air will reduce the pressure to prevent damaging
delicate parts. For Inside Dimension (ID) collets, the collet closure
provides more than enough movement to properly operate the collet.
Variable Drive motor: The DC variable speed motor provides
spindle speeds from 0 to 3600 RPM. This wide range allows the operator
to find the optimum speed for each operation. There is no need to move
the belt to change the speed. The motor is rated at 3/4 horsepower,
sufficient for demanding jobs. The motor transfer is through a
multi-groove belt, similar to the belt under the hood of your car.
Dynamic spindle braking is provided through the control. There is
nothing mechanical in the braking mechanism to wear, replace or adjust.
Spindle: The oversized spindle rides on ball bearings. The
machine can operate continuously at 3600 RPM. The front bearing, on the
collet end, is a double row assembly with an extremely high load
capability. The bearings are permanently lubricated. The spindle has a
through hole up to the capacity of a standard 5C collet. The collet
insert can be replaced without replacing the entire spindle.
Power: The Speed Lathe requires 120 Volts, single-phase power.
The input power is AC that is converted to DC. By design, the DC motor
only draws power as required for the operation. Air requirements are 90
PSI dry air. |

SPEED LATHES - Model 3CPL
The Crozier Model 3CPL Speed Lathe is a chuck model designed to handle
the odd jobs that do not fit in a collet or for small batch jobs. The
unit is small enough to fit on a table. The chuck is a standard six
inch design. The jaws are two piece for doing both ID and OD work. The
oversized spindle runs on a double row bearings on the end with the
chuck. Power is provided by a 3/4 HP, 3 phase motor. The spindle is
stopped by a electric brake on the back of the motor. Call

SPEED LATHES - Model 60DC
The Crozier Model 60DC is the first Speed Lathe designed with dual
spindles for the polishing and deburring of a single part. A part
requiring a two step operation, can be accomplished with a one machine
tool. Each spindle is set up with either an Inside Dimension (ID)
collet or an Outside Dimension (OD) collet. Both spindles are driven by
the same motor. The motor is a DC drive, variable spindle speeds from 0
to 3600 RPM. Both collet closures operate at the same time. As with
all Crozier air-collet closures, you don't have the handle bounce or
speed restrictions common in most hand-collet closures. The unit comes
mounted on a stand and requires only 90 PSI air and 120 Volt AC. The
collet closure is operated by a foot valve.

SPEED LATHES - Model 30AC
For those who need extra power for sanding or building a special purpose
machine, we offer the Crozier Model 30AC. This is our standard head
unit powered by a 2 horsepower motor. To supply power to the motor, we
utilize a solid state inverter. This inverter provides the speed lathe
with variable speed range of 0 to 3600 RPM. In addition, the inverter
provides both soft start capabilities and dynamic braking. Standard
input is 240 volt, and can be either single phase or three phase.
Standard features include the Crozier designed air collet closure and
Leeson motors.

SPEED LATHES - Model 30BDPL
For those of you that require a basic Speed Lathe, we offer the Crozier
Model 30BDPL. Basic in this case just means a single speed brake
motor. The spindle speed is fixed at 1800 RPM. You still get the
Crozier designed air-collet closure for fast cycle times and a brake
motor for fast braking action. Pound for pound, the Crozier Speed Lathe
is your best value for the money.

SPEED LATHES - Model 16SL
The Crozier Model 16SL Speed Lathe is another first for Crozier
Machine. This machine utilizes a 16C collet for companies that use CNC
lathes with 16C collets. You can now off load the deburring and
polishing work to optimize the speed of the CNC. The speed lathe can be
placed near the CNC so the operator can do the second operation work
while the CNC is producing the parts. The Model 16SL is equipped with
the Crozier designed air-collet closure. The collet closure is
activated by a foot pedal leaving the operators hands free to do the
work.
